Position: Special Education Teacher [81262]

We’re partnering with an exceptional school district in Clackamas County, OR to hire a compassionate Special Education Teacher for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year
.

This district is seeking a skilled, dedicated educator to support elementary students (K–5) in a Structured Learning Classroom (SLC) setting. You’ll collaborate with related service providers, provide individualized and small-group support to students with diverse learning needs, and use evidence-based strategies to foster engagement, skill development, and inclusive learning for all students.

  • Location:

    In-person
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, full school day (7:30 AM–3:30 PM)
  • Weekly Guaranteed

    Hours:

    35 hours/week
  • Setting:
    Structured classroom focused on social-emotional/behavior regulation (variety of disabilities, complex needs)
  • Current Caseload: ~7 students
  • Inclusion Focus:
    Meaningful inclusion when students are ready to transition into general education settings
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs, adapt curriculum, and monitor progress for students with diverse needs.
  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to support academics, social-emotional learning, and functional skills.
  • Use data-informed observations and evidence-based strategies to promote engagement and skill development.
  • Maintain a structured, nurturing environment that supports independence, self-regulation, communication, and positive peer interactions.
  • Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent support across school settings.
Qualifications
  • Active Oregon TSPC Teaching License required
  • Experience supporting students with behavioral/social-emotional needs (structured classroom experience a plus)
