Job Description Job Definition- Perform counseling duties. General goals will include providing informational services to students and parents; to assist making appropriate decisions; to assist students with personal problems; to aid students in achieving educational career objectives and in developing responsible attitudes in relationships with parents, teachers, administrators, and other students.
- Provide a comprehensive and culturally competent support services designed to ensure the academic success of students by building district-wide systems that promote meaningful data capture around discipline processes, academic engagement, college and career readiness, and graduation rates. The incumbent provides research and support to administrators, teachers, and support staff. The incumbent performs a full range of leadership duties and responsibilities by supporting schools as they work to uphold the tenets of the High School Success Act.
This will include but not limited to, comprehensive restorative justice services support, mentorship programs, social services and activities, database building and maintenance and college and career readiness learning experiences including individualized post‑secondary plans, goals, and objectives combined with applying vocationally specific experience and training to support student learning.
- Hold a valid Oregon School Counselor License or Standard Personnel Service License.
- Preference given to those with a Master’s degree.
- Knowledge and understanding of current educational practices and methods, evaluation techniques, behavior management techniques and communication techniques.
- Familiar with and adheres to all relevant Board policies and administrative regulations, TSPC standards, building rules, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Supports the philosophy and mission of Central Curry School District #1.
- Demonstrates appropriate collaboration and leadership skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students and the public.
- Good communication, organization and computer skills.
- Contract placement depends on verified years of contracted experience.
- Salary per collective bargaining agreement.

Salary: $46,705 to $82,201 Per Year
