Tact Staff Education is hiring a School-Based Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time, onsite position in the Lane County, Oregon area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students while working alongside a collaborative educational team dedicated to student success.
We welcome both local candidates and qualified travelers, with travel stipends available for eligible applicants.

- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Travel stipends available for eligible travelers
- W2 employment with weekly pay
- Provide sign language interpreting services for Deaf and Hard of
-Hearing students in classroom instruction, school activities, meetings, and other educational settings - Facilitate accurate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support student access to curriculum while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist students in developing independence and full participation within the educational environment
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by the school district
- Associate's Degree from an Interpreter Education Program required;
Bachelor's Degree preferred - Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), Contact Variety, and English
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher
- OR RID NIC, CI, or CT Certification may be accepted in lieu of an EIPA score
