Job Description & How to Apply Below

We Want To Change The World. We Believe It Starts With Education.

In India, 100 million children from low-income communities grow up without access to the 21st-century skills they need to thrive — from emotional intelligence and digital literacy to everyday money management. This gap leads to a lifetime of limited opportunity, intergenerational poverty, and rising mental health concerns.

What Are We Doing?

At The Apprentice Project (TAP), we're building India's boldest bet on education equity — an AI-powered learning buddy that helps thousands of government school students unlock 21st-century skills. We don't just teach coding or financial literacy — we spark self-confidence, creativity, and lifelong curiosity in children who've been told to "stay in their lane."

We're not looking for employees. We're looking for co-builders — people who want to create generational change, one student at a time.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a Visual Arts practitioner who can also build curriculum — someone who is as comfortable in front of a camera demonstrating a painting technique as they are writing a lesson plan or reviewing student submissions. You'll own the Visual Arts vertical end-to-end: from designing activities and PBL experiences to producing instructional videos, reviewing student work, and continuously improving based on what the data tells you.

Visual Arts competency is non-negotiable from day one — but so is the ability to translate that competency into practical, engaging learning experiences for students across diverse schools and contexts.

What You'll Do Curriculum & Activity Development
  • Own and develop the Visual Arts curriculum across relevant grades and levels.
  • Design engaging activities, projects, and PBL experiences — including Art + Academic integration.
  • Create lesson plans, activity instructions, worksheets, and supporting resources.
  • Ensure curriculum is contextualised and aligned with relevant academic and government requirements.
  • Develop and maintain rubrics and assessment approaches for Visual Arts projects.
Content Production
  • Develop activity instructional videos, demonstrating Visual Arts techniques clearly on camera.
  • Publish and organise content on Google Drive, You Tube, and Plio.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all Visual Arts content.
Review & Improvement
  • Review student work, submissions, data, and implementation feedback to improve curriculum and content.
  • Use evidence to identify what is working, what isn't, and what needs to change.
  • Continuously raise the quality bar on Visual Arts learning experiences.
Coordination & Ownership
  • Coordinate with Content Production, Program Implementation, Product, Technology, and other curriculum teams.
  • Own timelines, quality, follow-ups, and end-to-end delivery of Visual Arts work.
Who You Are
  • 1–3 years of experience in Visual Arts, curriculum design, education, instructional design, or related fields.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Visual Arts — drawing, painting, craft, illustration — is mandatory from day one.
  • Comfortable creating instructional videos and demonstrating techniques on camera.
  • Good understanding of PBL and experiential learning.
  • Experience with school education, assessment, rubrics, and educational content creation is preferred.
  • Data-informed and able to use student feedback and evidence for improvement.
  • Strong ownership, independence, and bias for action.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.

  • Visual Arts Expertise: Strong hands-on proficiency across drawing, painting, craft, and illustration — with the ability to teach and demonstrate techniques clearly.
  • Curriculum Development: Ability to design practical, engaging activities, projects, and assessments that build real skills in students.
  • Content Production: Comfortable on camera — able to produce clear, high-quality instructional videos that students can follow independently.
  • Ownership & Delivery: Strong ability to manage timelines, coordinate across teams, and deliver…
