Job Summary
Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site. We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Coburg, OR. We offer sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!
Responsibilities and Impact- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
Participation in an on-call rotation is required. Some overtime may be necessary based on workload. Occasional overnight travel may be required to support Branch territory coverage. Possibility of travel to support other locations with PG field workload as needed.
Requirements- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
- Basic Diesel Engine experience.
- Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
- Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation.
- A current valid license is required for this role.
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). years driving experience.
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation / Electrical Technician (Preferred).
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
- Current relevant electrical certification.
- Locally valid driving permit.
- May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Basic level field service work experience.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Customer service experience.
Salary rate commensurate with experience.
