CAD Technician

Cornell Pump Company is a prominent industry leader with over 77 years of experience and continuous growth. We specialize in crafting centrifugal pumps. Our manufacturing facilities located in Clackamas, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington allow us to serve diverse sectors such as Agriculture, Industrial, Municipal, Rental, and Mining.

We’re seeking a full‑time CAD Technician who is confident in Solid Works 3D modeling and enjoys turning engineering concepts into detailed, production‑ready designs.

Clackamas, OR

$27‑$33 per hour (DOE)

• Create 3D models of pump components (impellers, volutes, and more).
• Develop assembly and component drawings for manufacturing and procurement.
• Review project requirements and customer specs to help solve design challenges.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for machine shops and suppliers.
• Build 3D assemblies to ensure proper fit and interference‑free design.
• Support documentation such as BOMs, ECNs, dimensional prints, and exploded views.

• Strong Solid Works 3D modeling skills.
• 3+ years of mechanical drafting/design experience or a 2‑year Associate degree in Drafting or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

• Solid Works certifications or PDM Administrator experience.
• Solid Works Composer experience.
• Manufacturing background.
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps.
