Field Service Engineer II

• Maintain production equipment in a highly precise manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, and installations on a variety of vacuum, temperature control, and exhaust management systems.
• Maintain and replace equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Provide written documentation of repairs.
• Palletize/depalletize equipment and interface with customer.
• Travel regularly by car to different semiconductor fabs.
• Depalletize and preflight vacuum pumps for use by the customer.
• Work on gas and chemical abatement equipment, including scrubbers and burn abatement.
• Proficient in working around gas and chemical byproducts, piping, blowers and fluid pumps.
• Perform vacuum pump preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and remedy field equipment faults and errors.
• Deinstall failed pumps and install rebuilt pumps.
• Prepare vacuum pumps for shipment.
• Work with customer personnel to troubleshoot vacuum issues with chambers, fore lines and vacuum pumps.
• Troubleshoot electronic components, sensors, switches, control read outs, and PLCs.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Gas Abatement Systems.
• Use proper PPE to work in the vicinity of hazardous materials.
• Collect, develop, and formalize information for proposals of all replacement and repair opportunities and forward to the Regional Field Service Manager.

Job location:
