Job Description:
- Becht is looking for mid-career Civil Structural Engineer who wants to take the next step in their technical career.

- Becht is a technical leader in pressure vessels, piping, structures, and materials and as such has a major role in international codes and standards, allowing a unique opportunity to both learn and contribute at an industry-wide level.
- We emphasize multidiscipline problem-solving and collaboration to solve the most challenging design and equipment reliability problems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related discipline
- 5+ years’ civil and structural experience in the refining, petrochemical or power generation industries
- Foundation and structural design experience
- Knowledge of plant layout and operations
- Foundation / reinforced concrete design
- Experience working with refinery/plant equipment (tanks, plate structures, boilers, stacks, tabletop structures, fired heater incasing, etc.)
- Professional and/or Structural Engineering License
- Experience with the application of industry codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, ACI
- Experience with field troubleshooting, repairs and system walk-downs and the ability to travel to customer sites.
- Experience with turnaround support, planning & execution.
- Experience with the commercial software AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, Risa, or SAP
2000. - Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and mechanics.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
