CPI Data Center Project Manager, US-West CPI
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting every AWS data center and its servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is the project‑management and execution group that manages construction activity and critical infrastructure improvement projects within operational data center spaces—activities outside the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventative maintenance.
The CPI team seeks an energetic Data Center Project Manager to lead these projects. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines—including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architecture—identifying areas for improvement, designing and deploying innovative solutions, coordinating execution, and ensuring that every project aligns with Amazon’s strategy and goals.
Responsibilities- Lead project oversight and review of electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines.
- Identify improvement opportunities and act on data from other teams and organizations.
- Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to operational challenges.
- Coordinate, implement, execute, control, and complete specific projects within schedule and budget.
- Ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
- Manage construction activity within operational data center spaces, including electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building-automation systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
- Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.

The base salary range for this position is – USD annually in Boardman, OR (US-West CPI).
