Overview
As an Assistant Project Manager within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure team, you will collaborate with the site team coordinating project-related activities central to the Heavy Earthworks business unit. Working on large‑scale construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will solve technical challenges and maintain essential communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Assist the project team with coordination and project support.
- Maintain and review shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notice quotes, and project completion documents.
- Collect, review, and analyze project quotes to obtain the best prices.
- Attend, document, and emphasize the importance of project meetings.
- Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection.
- Apply project safety standards to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E standards and applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes.
- 3+ years of experience in the ICI construction industry.
- A university degree or technology diploma in engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, building codes, and associated legislation.
- A proven track record for project leadership and team collaboration.
- A passion for building and nurturing exceptional stakeholder relationships.
