A global semiconductor technology organisation is seeking a Module Development Engineer to support the development and optimisation of advanced manufacturing processes used in semiconductor fabrication.
Drive innovation in semiconductor process modules by developing, optimising, and scaling advanced materials, equipment, and device integration technologies that improve manufacturing efficiency and enable next-generation chip architectures.
Key responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimise semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Adjust process parameters, materials, and equipment configurations to improve yield and performance
- Conduct feasibility studies and technology pathfinding for new device architectures
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams on equipment and material solutions
- Support integration of new manufacturing technologies into production environments
- Modify and optimise operating equipment to improve efficiency and output
- Perform simulations and engineering analysis to evaluate process performance
- Contribute to development of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing roadmaps
- Stay current with industry advancements and emerging technologies
- Apply statistical methods to monitor and improve process quality and consistency
- Use experimental design and process characterization techniques to optimise results
- Support cost-effective and scalable manufacturing solutions
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Electrical Engineering
- Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing processes (e.g., thin films, ion implantation, etch, thermal processes)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
- Ability to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast‑paced engineering environment
- Interest in advanced semiconductor technology development
- 2+ years in semiconductor processing or materials engineering
- Experience with process characterization and advanced manufacturing tools
- Familiarity with semiconductor device fabrication environments
- Strong collaboration skills with suppliers and cross‑functional engineering teams
