Tenure-Track Assistant​/Associate Professors in Engineering

Harvey Mudd College invites applications for multiple open field tenure‑track faculty positions in our General Engineering program. We seek a cohort of new colleagues with experience and knowledge in applications of engineering who can excel in teaching a broadly‑based undergraduate curriculum focused on design, signals and systems, and engineering science.

• Teach the department’s required courses in engineering sciences.
• Participate on teaching teams in the design and systems engineering sequences.
• Supervise sponsored projects in the Engineering Clinic program.
• Develop courses in the applicant’s area of specialty.
• Contribute to the college’s Core Curriculum, including courses from each department, a first‑year writing course, and a course centered on the relationship between science and society.

• Ph.D. or equivalent (terminal) degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, professional growth, and promoting equity and inclusion among diverse students and colleagues.
• Industrial or other practical experience in the field is valued.
• Experience in biomedical engineering, robotics/autonomy, or electrical engineering is especially sought.
• Ability to increase students’ general and multidisciplinary engineering skills.
