Job Title and Overview
Job Title: Electrical Engineer - MEP Industry
Overview: Design power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects within a multi-discipline team.
Key Responsibilities- System Design: Prepare electrical layouts, schematics, and construction documents for power, lighting, and grounding.
- Calculations & Analysis: Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and coordination studies.
- Coordination: Work with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams using Revit and AutoCAD to resolve clash detection.
- Compliance & Permitting: Apply local electrical codes and prepare permit submittals and technical specifications.
- Site Support: Conduct field inspections and coordinate with contractors during construction administration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant MEP building systems design experience.
- Software: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical analysis tools (like SKM or Easy Power).
- Licenses: EIT certification or active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
