Accounting Manager

Your role

The Finance Manager for Accounting is responsible for overseeing the monthly close process and all aspects of Revenue and Royalty accounting for WMG LATAM businesses. They will liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and manage a team of offshore and onshore accounting staff.

• Manage the monthly close process including analysis, general ledger entries, and reconciliation review with a focus on Revenue and Royalty functions for LATAM businesses.
• Support recorded music label finance and Music Publishing finance by answering questions and performing ad‑hoc requests around Revenue and Royalty activities.
• Act as liaison between SSC and local finance teams in LATAM countries.
• Work with the team to complete submissions to corporate and review related schedules in conjunction with monthly/quarterly financials.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring SOX compliance including drafting process narratives and maintaining documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with finance personnel of affiliates/business units, internal/external auditors, 3rd‑party vendors, and other WMG divisions.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks and special projects as required by Division or Directors.
• Coach and develop team members onshore and offshore.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Management experience leading month‑end close in a shared services environment.
• Shared services mindset: drive efficiency, standardize processes across LATAM territories, and meet service level agreements.
• Experience managing onshore and offshore teams.
• Revenue and Royalty accounting experience; understanding of ASC 606.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience with SAP S4.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented; able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills in reviewing accounting transactions.

• CPA and Master’s in accounting.
• Royalty Systems experience.
• 5+ years accounting or audit experience, preferably with Big 4 or private industry.
• Industry knowledge.
• Bilingual Portuguese.

Hybrid salary range: $110,000 to $125,000 annually. Actual base pay depends on experience and business needs. Salary ranges are included as required by law. The range may change at any time.
