Credit Assistant

Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 / hour
DescriptionTo assist the credit department with all accounts receivables functions, including collecting, balancing, and reconciling payments.
Key Responsibilities- Process ACH payments
- Process credit card payments
- Prepare and process bank deposits.
- Retrieve documentation from various systems.
- Research & correct discrepancies on customers’ accounts
- Contact customers for skipped invoices or other collection issues.
- Apply payments to customers’ accounts.
- Respond to credit reference inquiries.
- Set up new accounts.
- Learn coverage needs of other team members and provide support when necessary.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel
Preferred:
- Knowledge of accounting software and practices

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time. Occasionally walk, stand, bend, reach, and/or crawl.
- Occasionally moves and transports documents and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across locations for various team members, departments and events.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and printer.
- Frequently communicates with team members and stakeholders to convey detailed or important spoken instructions accurately, loudly, and/or quickly.
- Must be able to perceive visuals to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen; extensive reading.

- Work in an office setting.
