Financial Controller

We are partnering with a growing Critical Access Hospital in the Pacific Northwest to identify an experienced Controller to join its finance leadership team.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical aspects of healthcare accounting and partnering with operational leaders to improve financial performance. The Controller will lead a small accounting team while helping strengthen financial processes, enhance labor management reporting, support board reporting, and ensure accurate and timely financial information for decision‑making.

• Report directly to the CFO
• Lead a team of 3 finance professionals
• Support the opening of a new Infusion Center
• Drive optimization of budgeting and financial reporting systems

• Oversee general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, treasury, and cash management
• Maintain the general ledger and support month‑end and year‑end close
• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and audit support
• Improve labor management, FTE reporting, and productivity analytics
• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen financial performance and reporting
• Support capital projects, cost reports, and strategic financial initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, required
• CPA, preferred
• 5+ years of healthcare finance or accounting experience, required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits
• Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience, highly preferred
