Lincoln County is hiring a full-time Community Services Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office. This public-facing role investigates county code and ordinance complaints, supports civil process work, and helps residents resolve community concerns across Lincoln County.

- Investigate county code, short-term rental, land-use, and ordinance complaints.
- Respond to citizen calls, neighborhood disputes, and abandoned-vehicle concerns.
- Conduct interviews, document findings, prepare reports, and preserve evidence.
- Serve civil documents and testify in court when needed.
- Work in the field, in a vehicle, and in an office with frequent public contact.
- Coordinate with Sheriff’s Office staff, county departments, and community members.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain an Oregon driver license within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to complete required Taser training and certification.
- Strong communication, documentation, conflict-resolution, and public-contact skills.
- One year of land-use regulation or intensive public-contact experience is desirable.
- DPSST law-enforcement certification is not required for this position.
