Physical Therapist - PT - Part Time - Clackamas
Join Kaiser Permanente Northwest as a part‑time Physical Therapist in Clackamas, OR. This role focuses on preventing disability, restoring function, and coordinating multidisciplinary care.
Essential Responsibilities- Deliver evidence‑based treatment programs for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric, using competency checklists.
- Assess physical status, functional abilities and age‑specific needs to determine current function, independence and quality of life.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, coordinate with family and social support systems and advocate for patient resources.
- Integrate early discharge planning based on ongoing assessments and stated goals.
- Maintain accurate chart documentation, meet record review checklist criteria and provide timely written reports.
- Provide effective patient handouts and maintain professional competency through continuing education.
- Present at least one in‑service per year to PT staff.
- Comply with departmental safety precautions, including PPD, CPR and safe patient transfer.
- Demonstrate productivity through time management, efficient use of patient treatment time and resource utilization.
- Exhibit professionalism, confidentiality, teamwork and high‑quality customer service.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree). Post‑graduate training in lymphedema evaluation and treatment is preferred.
- Physical Therapy License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire;
Physical Therapist License (Washington) and Washington physical therapy permit within 6 months of hire. - National Provider Identifier, Basic Life Support (BLS) and demonstrated competency in evidence‑based practice.
- Basic to moderate computer skills for documentation, and knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
- Experience in clinical hands‑on PT school or post‑graduate mentorship program; familiarity with lymphatic and vascular anatomy, compressive wrapping techniques and differential diagnosis of cellulitis and fibrotic tissue changes.
- Orthopedic skills, group dynamics and advanced degree in specialty.
- Expertise in aerobic and anaerobic exercise programs with lymph drainage precautions.
- Advanced knowledge of compressive wrapping techniques and home application instruction.
