Our faith-based residential treatment center is seeking a skilled clinician to join our multidisciplinary team in supporting adolescent boys facing mental health challenges and/or substance use issues. Rooted in Christian values, our program provides a nurturing and structured environment where healing, growth, and transformation are made possible through clinical excellence and spiritual care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adolescent males with mental health and/or substance use challenges in a residential setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and regularly evaluate progress toward therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including case managers, medical staff, and direct care staff to ensure whole person, coordinated care.
  • Integrate faith-based principles into therapeutic practices in a respectful and supportive manner, aligned with the center’s mission and values.
  • Facilitate psycho educational and therapeutic groups focused on topics such as emotional regulation, trauma recovery, substance use prevention, and healthy relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, including participation in on-call rotation if applicable.
  • Engage with families and guardians to support reunification, healing, and long-term recovery.
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with professional licensure and organizational policies.
  • Provide clinical services to meet client needs according to professional standards of Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Treatment programs.
  • Supervise, guide, and evaluate the work activities of non-licensed personnel.
  • Establish clinical objectives and evaluate their achievement.
Qualifications
  • Licensure:
    Must hold a current and valid license as a Mental Health Counselor (e.g., LPC, LAC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) able to practice in Arkansas.
  • Education:

    Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Desired

    Experience:

    2 years or greater of clinical experience working with adolescents, preferably in a residential, inpatient, or substance use treatment setting.
  • Faith Alignment:
    Commitment to integrating Christian values into therapeutic work and supporting the spiritual development of clients in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Clinical

    Skills:

    Strong foundation in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
  • Communication:
    Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to engage effectively with youth, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Cultural Competence:
    Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and the ability to provide culturally responsive care.
  • Certifications:

    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire); additional training in substance use treatment or trauma-informed care is a plus.
  • Technology:
    Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications.
