Overview
The Village of Oregon (population 12,441) is seeking a professional and experienced leader to serve as its next Senior Services Director. This department head position, reporting directly to the Village Administrator, provides both strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for the Village’s senior services and its multi‑purpose senior center facility.
Position SummaryThis position requires a multifaceted individual who can balance complex municipal government administration with compassionate service delivery, ensuring that the physical, social, and emotional needs of the community’s aging population are met with excellence.
Salary InformationAnnual salary range $87,547 - $112,548. Expected annual hiring range is $87,547 - $100,048, depending on qualifications.

Job DetailsGeneral hours are from 8 am to 4 pm. Occasional travel within the Village is required to meet with individuals, businesses, civic organizations, and other Village departments or project sites. An in‑depth background check is required.

Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology, public administration, nursing, or a related field. In accordance with state adult day care regulations, the individual must possess an associate degree or higher in a health‑care‑related field OR have at least two years of experience in a health‑care‑related field serving older adults. - Experience:
3–5 years of direct supervisory and administrative experience required, including budgetary oversight and personnel management. - Licenses:
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Restaurant Manager Certification within six months of hire.
