QualificationsA Master’s degree or higher.
One of the following:
- Speech Language Pathology License as issued by the Oregon Board of Examiners in Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology
- If licensed before 2015; alternatively an Oregon Teaching License with Special
Education:
Communication Disorders endorsement and American Speech and Hearing Association, Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech‑Language Pathology, or actively pursuing this Certificate. - Such alternatives to certain above qualifications may apply as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent and/or Board of Directors.
One of the earliest forms of learning for a child is language. This position offers both roles of an evaluator and practitioner of speech/language skills and how that impacts overall access to learning. As a part of our team of extraordinary educators, you will have the joy of witnessing the development of a student’s ability to connect with their world. This position has the following expectations and prerequisite abilities.

- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws governing all aspects of our agency including ORS, OAR, IDEA, FOIA, and CIPA.
- Exceptional prioritization of tasks, timely completion of work assignments, ability to take the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates respectful, flexible and effective teambuilding skills of cooperation, communication and active participation.
- Present self and LBL in a professional manner including in oral and written communication, professional disposition when working with others and maintaining professional dress standards.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directives, find requested data and present in user‑friendly formats for internal and public distribution.
- Maintain regular attendance punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and following schedules.
- Utilize teleservice platform to provide services to educators, students, and district staff as directed.
- Ability to sit in child‑sized chairs for extended periods of time and/or sit on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or work setting.
