POSITION OVERVIEW

Cascade Regional Inclusive Services supports students who are experiencing low incidence disabilities. The specialists in our program work who with this highly specialized population are essential in student, family and district success. The AAC role works in tandem with a team of educators supporting the complex communication needs and provides unique expertise in applicable communication systems.

This dynamic, independent and rewarding position consults with fellow LBL colleagues, constituent districts and acts as a liaison to community partners. As part of our regional delivery model, the specialist in this position is surrounded by a team of professionals to consult, problem solve and coordinate educational support for our students and families across our tri-county area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.

One of the following:

Speech Language Pathology License issued by the Oregon Board of Examiners or,
If licensed before 2015, Oregon TSPC License with Communication Disorders Endorsement AND American Speech-Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competency or actively pursuing this certificate.

Demonstrated successful experience in special education, including work with high needs populations highly preferred.

GENERAL INFORMATION
