Job Summary

Caravel Autism Health is seeking a proactive and analytical Risk Management Analyst to support and advance the organization's workplace safety, workers' compensation, and client safety programs. This position serves as a key partner to Operations, Clinical leadership, People Services, and external vendors to identify risks, reduce injuries, improve safety outcomes, manage workers' compensation claims, and promote a culture of safety across all Caravel locations.

The Risk Management Analyst will lead safety reporting and analytics, coordinate workplace injury management, facilitate return-to-work efforts, support client safety investigations, monitor regulatory and accreditation requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives designed to reduce risk and improve organizational performance.

The Risk Management Analyst will also provide support for leave of absence administration and is expected to maintain the knowledge and capability necessary to administer employee leaves when needed. This includes coordinating cases in which workers’ compensation, medical leave, disability benefits, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work requirements overlap.

Key Responsibilities Workplace Safety & Injury Prevention
  • Coordinate and support Caravel's Workplace Safety Committee, including meeting preparation, reporting, action item tracking, and follow-up.
  • Monitor workplace safety trends and identify opportunities to reduce employee injuries through proactive intervention.
  • Conduct and coordinate clinic safety assessments and audits.
  • Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion of identified safety improvements.
  • Develop and maintain safety metrics, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of safety policies, procedures, training programs, and safety communications.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for significant workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor injury trends and develop recommendations to address recurring risk factors.
Workers' Compensation & Return-to-Work Management
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for workplace injury reporting and claim administration.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims from injury occurrence through closure.
  • Partner with carriers, third-party administrators, medical providers, and legal counsel when appropriate.
  • Ensure timely completion of required injury documentation and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor claim reserves, open claims, lost-time cases, and claim development trends.
  • Participate in claim review meetings and develop strategies to reduce claim costs and duration.
  • Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs.
  • Track employee work restrictions and collaborate with operational leaders regarding accommodations and transitional work assignments.
  • Maintain accurate workers' compensation records and reporting.
  • Prepare claims analytics and executive reporting for leadership review.
Leave of Absence Administration Support
  • Serve as a knowledgeable backup and operational partner for leave of absence administration, including the ability to manage employee leave cases as assigned.
  • Coordinate concurrent or overlapping workers’ compensation, medical, disability, and other applicable leaves in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Communicate with employees, leaders, healthcare providers, leave administrators, insurance carriers, and other partners regarding documentation, eligibility, leave status, work restrictions, and return-to-work requirements.
