Glacier Fish Company is seeking Fill in Deckhands to join their crew aboard the F/T Alaska Ocean, operating off the coast of Washington, Oregon, and Alaska’s Bering Sea. This role involves long, labor-intensive hours in challenging marine conditions, ideal for candidates with prior deckhand experience on commercial fishing vessels. The company offers a unique opportunity to work on one of the largest frozen-at-sea groundfish operations, with all meals and laundry provided on board.

• Wages: $7,200–$16,000 per trip (crew share, trip length varies)

• Prior experience as a deckhand I on a commercial fishing vessel (required)
• Developed skills in deck operations: splicing, net repair, setting and hauling gear
• Ability to operate cranes, winches, and lifting equipment safely
• Strong English comprehension for policies and procedures
• Adaptability to manage competing priorities and urgent projects
• Willingness to work 12–16 hour shifts, with possible additional hours
• Ability to fulfill shipyard duties as assigned
• Compliance with safety and prohibited species handling regulations
• Physical and mental resilience for tough working conditions
