This role acts as a critical interface between Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Engineering, Facilities, and Global Procurement, translating technical and project requirements into effective sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and long-term value.
Key deliverables include development and execution of sourcing strategies across Capital Investments, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and lifecycle value optimization. The role supports manufacturing capacity expansion, facility development, and infrastructure investments through strategic supplier partnerships and disciplined portfolio management.
This position is responsible for developing sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership through consideration of acquisition, construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance, service, warranty, and lifecycle costs over 5-to-10-year planning horizons.
Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for end-to-end category management of capital expenditures, including automation systems, facility construction projects, utilities and infrastructure upgrades. The individual partners closely with Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Engineering and Facilities teams to understand technical and project requirements and ensure procurement strategies are aligned with business needs.
The role requires strong commercial, technical, and project acumen to evaluate automation equipment, construction, and facility solutions, drive supplier selection, negotiate contracts, and manage risk and supplier performance. It also involves establishing long-term supplier relationships, effective stakeholder relationships, and scalable sourcing frameworks to support repeatable and efficient capital deployment. Success requires balancing short-term operational requirements with long-term asset and infrastructure strategies that maximize value, mitigate risk, and optimize total cost of ownership throughout the asset lifecycle.

- Develop and implement sourcing and portfolio strategies for Capital Investments in alignment with Resmed's operational and strategic objectives
- Partner with Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Engineering, Facilities and Global Procurement stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business, facility, and infrastructure requirements
- Assess and mitigate contractual, commercial, schedule, and supplier risks associated with capital investments.
- Manage commercial aspects of contracts including change orders, claims, payment milestones, warranties, and performance guarantees.
- Translate technical, operational, and construction requirements into effective sourcing and supplier strategies that balance performance, risk, and cost
- Lead sourcing activities, including RFQ and RFP processes, for capital equipment, automation systems, facility construction projects, infrastructure investments and utilities
- Develop long-term supplier strategies and commercial frameworks that drive innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable value
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage strategic supplier relationships to optimize quality, service, delivery, and cost performance
- Establish supplier scorecards and contractor performance management processes across capital programs.
- Evaluate capital investment opportunities using total cost of ownership principles, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, service, warranty, operating, and lifecycle costs over 5-to-10-year planning horizons
- Lead sourcing strategies for manufacturing expansions, facility construction projects, infrastructure upgrades, and workplace investments to support business growth
- Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership on sourcing, investment, and supplier-related decisions through strong commercial, financial, and strategic analysis
- Drive organizational objectives through effective leadership and continuous improvement
