About Forensic Building Consultants:
Forensic Building Consultants (FBC) is a well-established building science, forensic investigation, and construction consulting firm serving the Pacific Northwest, nationally and internationally, for over two decades. Since 2003, we have built a reputation for technical excellence, integrity, and steady leadership. Our work spans complex building enclosure diagnostics, forensic investigations, rehabilitation design, construction management, quality assurance, reserve studies, and owner/developer representation.

Our clients include HOAs, developers, architects, contractors, insurers, attorneys, and public-sector entities. Our projects are technical, often high-stakes, and always meaningful.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who can confidently manage multiple consulting projects from start to finish while working collaboratively with our technical staff, clients, and leadership team.

You do not need to be a building science expert to join us. You bring strong project management fundamentals — we will provide the education, mentorship, and internal support necessary to help you master the technical side. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, values independence, and takes pride in delivering clear, well-managed outcomes without requiring constant oversight.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently, from kickoff through close-out
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering long-term trust
• Coordinate internal staff, consultants, and sub-consultants
• Track budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables
• Support proposal development, scoping, and fee negotiations
• Bring organization and clarity to complex technical consulting work
• Help ensure projects move efficiently, pragmatically, and professionally

• Proven experience in project management (construction, engineering, architecture, or related fields preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort managing multiple priorities in an autonomous environment
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through
• A collaborative mindset and a high level of accountability
• Experience in consulting or construction-related environments is a plus
