Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept- Material Handling - Picking parts for order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts through daily cycle counts and periodic audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in ERP system.
- Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, planning, and production teams to ensure parts are available when needed.
- Support material movement and transaction accuracy for manufacturing and kitting operations.
- Maintain lot control records and ensure traceability compliance.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, including process documentation and optimization.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of inventory-related IT systems and barcode scanning tools.
- Ensure parts are properly labeled, stored, and handled according to company procedures.
- Always follow all safety rules and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area at all times.
- Assist with other tasks or projects assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and ERP systems (Net Suite/RF-Smart experience a plus).
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (valid certification preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to lift 40lbs and work in a fast paced production environment.
- Experience with “ABC” inventory grouping systems.
- Prior experience in the aviation or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of updating material dimensions and weights in a database system.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, vibration, heat and cold may occur. Position may require long periods of standing throughout the shift. At Van's Aircraft, you’ll work in a dynamic warehouse environment that supports production, customer service, and engineering teams. The role will involve hands‑on tasks, such as operating warehouse equipment and organizing materials, as well as administrative duties like updating records and resolving discrepancies.
