Machine Operator - Plastics - Night Shift

Clackamas, Oregon

Third shift Sunday‑Thursday from 11 pm to 7 am.

Astronics‑PECO designs and manufactures highly engineered commercial aerospace interior components and systems. The role involves operating molding machines and producing quality parts to customer specifications while meeting production demand and cost standards.

• Read and interpret daily production reports to determine requirements.
• Assist in setting up all molding equipment and machinery.
• Bring all quality and process control issues to the lead.
• Operate measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and digital calipers.
• Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and make adjustments accordingly.
• Accurately complete paperwork and document part counts.
• Operate secondary equipment such as ultrasonic welder, drill press, trim press, and gate cutters.
• Operate forklifts and other material‑moving equipment.
• Sweep area, clean, and wash equipment.
• Attend Quality Manual Standards training and apply quality standards accordingly.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Report consistently to work, be on time, and work an eight‑hour shift.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous plastic injection molding experience and/or training preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with machines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
