DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and production procedures to determine fixture and die requirements, measurements, and allowable tolerances.
- Maintain, build, repair and service fixtures and trim dies.
- Troubleshoot fixtures and trim dies to resolve manufacturing problems.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Set up and operate a variety of production equipment and tools such as milling machines, metal lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, saws, sanders, taps, arbor presses, punch presses and Kard presses.
- Accurately use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, veneer gauges, dial indicators, depth gauges, feeler gauges and tape measure.
- Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply Quality Standards accordingly.
- Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
- Sweep and clean up work area and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Previous experience or training, required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to solve and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.

WORKPLACE CONDITIONSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Proper footwear, safety glasses and hearing protection are required.
