Position: CNC Lathe Machinist

Location: Clackamas, OR

Pay: Starting at $25.00+/hour DOE

As we continue to grow our operations in Clackamas, Oregon, we are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. What

You'll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices required for production.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and make offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements when needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Work closely with programmers, inspectors, and supervisors to meet production schedules.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

What You Need to Have
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of GD&T principles and precision machining practices.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The Musts
  • Previous CNC Lathe setup and operation experience.
  • Ability to perform in-process inspections and maintain quality standards.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Preferred
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC lathes and live tooling.
  • Prior experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace, industrial, or production components.
  • Basic understanding of G & M code.
  • Experience with Fanuc controls.
