Supervise fabrication team and provide direction on tasks, plans, and priorities
Holds fabrication team accountable for staying on task and on schedule
Conduct employee reviews
Collaborate with engineering to provide input and feedback on project design
Provide labor time estimates as part of the quoting process
Work with vendors and internal resources to maintain adequate shop supplies and consumables on hand Adheres to safety policies and encourages safe working practices. Holds colleagues accountable for following proper safety protocols.
Layout, welding, assembly, and testing of hydraulic power units and other hydraulic related assemblies according to engineered drawings
Conducting hydraulic power unit function and performance tests, as well as hydraulic valves on the main test bench
Paint hydraulic components and assemblies according to customer requirements
Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic components
Operate forklifts of various sizes & capacities
Operate motor vehicle for traveling to off-site locations
Supporting the company with a positive attitude and working with customers as needed
Responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping of the fabrication/assembly areas
Periodic travel required to customer site and other HAWE locations
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, experiences:
Must be able to read and understand fabrication blueprints, drawings, and 3D models
Must be able to read and understand hydraulic schematics and drawings
Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings
Must have a strong mechanical background and experience
Must be able to weld steel in all positions
Must have Stick, MIG, and/or TIG welding capabilities
Basic computer (Windows-based) skills and experience with MS Office package
Good organizational skills
Good problem-solving and reasoning skills
Must be a self-starter with determination to provide quality service
Pipe welding experience a plus, but not required
Welding certification a plus, but not required
