Manufacturing Supervisor, Swing Shift

The Supervisor, Operations is responsible for directing teams to ensure daily operations meet established KPIs. The role oversees production schedules, assigns work, coordinates set‑ups, and guarantees materials are available.

• Provide direction to shop‑floor personnel and maintain operations aligned with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
• Review production schedules, assign work, coordinate set‑ups, and manage materials availability.
• Supervise work activities and staffing for manufacturing products under guidance of the Manager of Operations.
• Manage labor and resource requirements (materials, headcount, overtime, equipment).
• Recommend production improvements, implement continuous‑improvement concepts, and utilize A3 process.
• Coordinate and monitor workflow across departments to meet task times and production schedules.
• Lead daily Gemba walks and lean daily management to report metrics.
• Handle employee performance, review evaluations, develop performance plans, and address issues with HR as needed.
• Participate in hiring, termination decisions, and talent selection.
• Maintain 6S, safety compliance, and hazard elimination; lead maintenance for equipment and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all QMS documentation and key performance indicators for safety, compliance, Six Sigma, and financial objectives.

• Education:
  
  High School or Equivalent (Required);
  Associate’s (Preferred);
  Bachelor’s (Preferred).
• Experience:
  
  3+ years in a leadership role (Required); 5+ years in a manufacturing environment (Required);
  Manufacturing experience (Required); FDA‑regulated environment (Preferred);
  Machining experience (Preferred);
  Cross‑functional experience (Preferred).
• Skills:
  
  Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, data analysis, performance management, safety compliance, communication, problem solving, standard operating procedures, training, time management.

• Must remain in a stationary position or move about the building, occasionally handle equipment or items.
• Must communicate and exchange information continuously.
• May perform repetitive handling, adjusting or inspecting items and equipment.
• Must distinguish and detect information such as writing and defects.

• Noise exposure occasionally.
