Position OverviewProduction Supervisor – Bread Production Facility At Albertsons Companies, you will lead a team of production workers, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role focuses on delivering consistently high‑quality bread products in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Main Responsibilities- Production Oversight
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Staff Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and support production associates.
- Compose and deliver performance evaluations and corrective action notices.
- Quality Control
- Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards.
- Address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
- Inventory Management
- Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
- Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Safety Compliance
- Enforce and promote safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
- Communication
- Effectively collaborate with site cross‑functional partners (e.g., quality, logistics, maintenance).
- Relay information accurately and respectfully to ensure smooth operations.
- Training and Development
- Train new production employees.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Problem Resolution
- Address and resolve production‑related issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.).
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment.
- Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Generate reports for management on production metrics.
- Two (2) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment.
- One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
- Ability to manage and develop employees.
- Strong skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to grasp additional business‑related applications.
