Position: Shop Helper
Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Who We Are:Opti Staffing is hiring for a growing precision machine shop that is looking to add a Shop Helper to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their foot in the door with manufacturing and machining. The right candidate will be dependable, eager to learn, and willing to help wherever needed. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a machinist role for someone interested in building a long-term career in the trade.
What You’ll Do:- Assist machinists and shop personnel with daily operations
- Clean and organize machines, tooling, and work areas
- Assemble machined components and finished products
- Package and prepare parts for shipment
- Move materials and parts throughout the shop
- Support inventory organization and material handling
- Perform general shop maintenance and housekeeping
- Learn manufacturing and machining processes from experienced team members
- $18.00 - $22.00/hr starting wage DOE
- Stable Monday-Friday day shift schedule
- Hands‑on training from experienced machinists

- Willingness to perform cleaning and general labor duties
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience
- Experience using hand tools
- Forklift experience
- Mechanical or assembly experience
- Interest in pursuing a machining career
