Temporary Position – Production Operative

We are looking to recruit an experienced Production Operative to work within our busy expanding engineering firm.

• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
• Read and understand written work instructions, engineering drawings and other manufacturing documentation
• Machine operating
• Comply with policies and guidelines
• Complete all related paperwork
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Excellent understanding of the English language – both oral and written
• Ability to work under pressure
• Eye for detail

• £ competitive temporary to permanent assignment
• Hours of work Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 2pm

Required to manage the engineering office within a growing busy engineering environment.

• Assist management with general administrative tasks
• Produce correspondence and other documentation
• Recording of Goods In/Out
• Customer liaison
• Arranging customer deliveries with our logistics partners
• Support with purchasing requirements
• General office tasks

• Experienced administrator with an understanding gained from the manufacturing sector
• Working knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Office and Quick Books
• Attention to detail
• Clear communicator with a good telephone manner

• Part time hours to suit

• Set and operate CNC machines
• Generate CNC programmes using Solidworks

• Apprentice trained mechanical engineer with experience of programming and operating milling machines and CNC lathes, and the ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong engineering background spent within an ‘engineered to order’ environment
