What You Will Be Doing

At the Clackamas bread plant, sanitation performed at a high level of quality is key to keeping safety as our #1 priority. You will be a critical part of the team, helping maintain food‑grade level cleanliness throughout the facility and supporting the production of high‑quality breads, buns, and rolls for customers across Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work around large processing equipment where chemicals are used to complete the sanitation process.
  • Disassemble, wash, clean, and sanitize all production line equipment at the end of the production week or after a changeover to prevent cross‑contamination of product.
  • Cleans walls, floors, fixtures, and drains within the department using established procedures.
  • Wash all utensils used for processing and mixing of products.
  • Be trained and certified to follow sanitation procedures for proper chemical solution use and concentrations that are safe for workers and equipment.
  • Check cleaning records indicating frequency, duration, temperature, concentration, and use of final sanitizing product.
  • Coordinate cleaning with maintenance and production for on‑time production start‑up and follow sanitation schedules.
  • Perform duties designed to control insects and pests within the plant.
  • Cleans eyewash and replenishes solution as needed.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in plant and office areas, keeping interiors and exteriors clean and orderly.
  • Follow all safety procedures, participate in safety training, and report injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
  • Follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes) and monitor for compliance in the assigned area.
  • Be trained and certified in Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out processes.
  • Support product safety, quality, and legality.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The targeted hourly pay rate range for this position is $21.99–$24.74 per hour. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements.

Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing.
  • Sanitation experience preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience preferred.
