Production Supervisor - Packaging

Job Summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. The Packaging Supervisor will oversee production operations on packaging lines during the 6am – 2:30pm shift in Clackamas, OR. The role is based in the IFF Health & Biosciences team, where employees are expected to contribute beyond their assigned responsibilities and support the organization’s overall success.

Shift hours: 6am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday. Hours may exceed 40 hours per business need.

• Oversee production operations on packaging lines and ensure adherence to established manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and document performance of employees and temporary staff, including corrective action and attendance.
• Ensure proper use and care of production equipment and maintain facility standards within the assigned area.
• Enforce safety and quality requirements, including continuous evaluation of the production environment for cGMP compliance.
• Coordinate shipment and cleaning schedules, review batch records and associated documentation for completeness, legibility and correctness.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to identify, document and resolve quality and production issues.
• Track work orders internally during the production process and communicate any changes to production orders.
• Support cross‑functional collaboration with other production departments and site support functions.
• Maintain daily documentation related to team activities and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Perform supervisory functions, including training, evaluating, and developing washroom personnel and other temporary staff.
• Monitor and verify completeness of all logs for accuracy, completeness, and legibility.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in the assigned area.
• Maintain punctual and consistent attendance and report any unsafe conditions.
• Participate in task forces to improve company procedures or operations.

• College degree or 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of FDA/cGMP compliance preferred.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and a background check in accordance with HWP standards.
• Must re‑qualify each year on all job‑related tests and certifications as required.

• Salary range: $61,558.00 – $87,940.00 USD.
