The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Correctional Enterprises Specialist
- Senior (Upholstery Production Specialist) position.This position is located at the Oakhill Correctional Institution in Oregon, WI.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for shop production, ordering shop supplies and materials, shipping and receiving products, product quality control, documentation, tool control, and tool usage. This position will require knowledge of the many variations of chairs and their attributes, including fabrics used in the upholstery furniture business. This position will use computers and multiple software programs for production, quality control, order management, and inventory information.
This position will have responsibility for directing and training skilled and semi-skilled Person in Our Care employees in an industrial furniture manufacturing industry and maintaining adherence to institution rules and policies.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 03-14 with a starting pay of $28.11 per hour.A probationary period of one year is required.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Shift: Monday
- Friday 6:30am- 3:00pm
Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s License.
Minimally Qualified Applicants Will Have Experience
- Performing production work in a manufacturing and/or production facility.
- Utilizing computer applications such as ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Leading and/or overseeing the work of others (e.g. training, coaching, mentoring, assigning duties, reviewing work, etc.)
