Press Brake Operator – $25–$28/hr DOE
Location: Clackamas
Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience

A growing steel fabrication company is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join its production team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating a Cincinnati Press Brake 350PF+10 to bend, form, and shape steel components according to blueprints and production specifications.
Job DescriptionThe Press Brake Operator will set up and operate press brake equipment to accurately form steel plates, sheets, and fabricated components. This position requires strong blueprint reading abilities, knowledge of press brake setup and tooling, accurate measurement skills, and a commitment to quality and safe machine operation.
The ideal candidate will have previous press brake or metal forming experience and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate a Cincinnati Press Brake 350PF+10
- Bend, form, and straighten steel plates, sheets, and fabricated components
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, dimensions, and tolerances
- Select and install appropriate dies, punches, tooling, and back gauges
- Program CNC controls and adjust machine settings as needed
- Perform test bends and first-piece inspections before production
- Adjust bend angles, ram depth, back gauges, and tooling to maintain specifications
- Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions, angles, orientation, and quality
- Use tape measures, squares, calipers, micrometers, angle finders, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Safely move and position steel using forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Identify and report equipment, material, drawing, or quality issues
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Previous press brake or similar metal-forming experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings required
- Experience working with steel fabrication and metal-forming processes
- Experience setting up tooling, dies, punches, and machine settings preferred
- CNC press brake experience strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, angle finders, and gauges
- Basic shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, measurements, and angles
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to safely handle heavy, sharp, and awkward steel components
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience preferred
- Dependable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with Cincinnati press brakes, bend allowances, bend deductions, material spring back, tooling selection, and forming sequences is highly preferred.

Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
