We are currently seeking a Production Support Specialist to join our team in Clackamas, OR
. This hands-on role is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and inspecting vacuum pump systems and skid-mounted equipment while ensuring the highest quality and safety standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with precision, solving problems, and building complex equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

$24-$28/hr DOE

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

As a Production Support Specialist
, you'll be responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting vacuum pump systems, skid-mounted equipment, and mechanical assemblies. You'll work closely with production and engineering to ensure every product meets quality, safety, and performance standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements; report unsafe conditions or injuries immediately.
  • Assemble vacuum pumps, skid-mounted equipment, and related mechanical components using engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Install, fit, align, and verify mechanical components, piping, instrumentation, and support structures to required specifications.
  • Perform testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure product quality, functionality, and compliance.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Complete production and quality documentation, including build records, inspections, and test reports.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues, material shortages, and production concerns.
  • Assist with packaging, shipping preparation, inventory handling, and other production support activities as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or industrial production experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to quality, safety, and detail.
  • Basic math, measurement, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical or vocational training in a related field.
  • Experience with vacuum systems, pumps, skid-mounted equipment, piping, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with testing, leak detection, and quality systems (ISO, IPC, etc.).
  • Experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, or process-control environments.
  • Forklift, crane, rigging, or material-handling experience.

Physical Requirements

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred
