CNC Programmer – Steel Fabrication

The Programmer plays a critical role in the planning and execution of structural steel fabrication by creating, optimizing, and managing CNC machine programs for cutting, drilling, and punching operations. Utilizing AutoCAD, SigmaNEST, Peddi Mat, and adjacent software platforms, the Programmer ensures that work orders are translated into accurate machine‑ready instructions that maximize material utilization, maintain tight tolerances, and align with project deadlines.
This position demands technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and close collaboration with operators, engineers, and project managers. Work is performed in an active structural steel fabrication shop with exposure to heavy equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures in a safety‑first, team‑driven culture.
Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (overtime opportunities available)
$19.00–$21.00/hr DOE

Helper / GrinderThe Helper / Grinder role is a vital component of our quality assurance process. This position is the final checkpoint before structural steel parts are shipped to customers, requiring keen attention to detail, consistency, and an unwavering focus on quality. As part of the finishing team, the Helper / Grinder ensures that every product meets QB Fabrication's stringent standards for surface preparation, appearance, labeling, and readiness for shipment.
This entry‑level position is ideal for motivated individuals with strong hands‑on skills, a commitment to safety and precision, and the ability to work closely with welders, fitters, material handlers, and floor leads. This position is the final assurance that every part shipped from QB Fabrication meets our industry‑leading standards—our customers rely on us to deliver defect‑free, code‑compliant, and durable products.
Brake Operator – Steel Fabrication
Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
$25.00–$28.00/hr
Full‑time, On‑site
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the Cincinnati Press Brake 350PF+10 to bend, form, and shape steel plates, sheets, and fabricated components according to blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and production requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret drawings, proper material handling practices, quality control awareness, and a commitment to safe machine operation.
The Press Brake Operator works closely with supervisors, fitters, welders, quality control, and other shop employees to ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely. This position is performed in a steel fabrication shop around heavy machinery, steel materials, cranes, forklifts, welding operations, and other shop hazards.
