  • Help develop and promote affiliate unions’ social media content for contract fights, strikes, and other mobilization campaigns.
  • Support affiliate unions and central labor councils with rapid‑response communications, including social media outreach for events, strike updates, and public statements.
  • Design and deliver capacity‑building training for social media and other digital tools to affiliates and central labor councils.
Other Responsibilities

  • Proof and copyedit communications materials for accuracy, correct spelling and grammar, consistent tone, and clear messaging.
  • Track online reach and evaluate digital engagement metrics.
  • Provide staffing support at actions, picket lines, press conferences, media avails, rallies, and other events and meetings.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience developing and managing social media campaigns with hands‑on content management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, Tik Tok, Blue Sky, Twitter, and Threads, and how to maximize reach on each.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise, impactful content.
  • Creativity and strong skills in producing, editing, and digital storytelling.
  • Basic video editing and photo/video shooting skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, produce original ideas, organize, and execute daily content.
  • Ability to complete time‑sensitive, rapid‑response assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable conducting interviews and engaging with workers.
  • Self‑motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently with excellent organization and time management.
