About Oregon Self Advocacy CoalitionOregon Self Advocacy Coalition (OSAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization led by, and for, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
OSAC is a statewide network of local self-advocacy groups — people with intellectual and developmental disabilities working together to live as valued, contributing citizens, and members of the communities where they live.
Our purpose and mission are to:
- Bring self advocates together to develop a united voice regarding issues that affect our lives
- Support and educate local groups of self-advocates to take action on creating change in their communities
- Engage communities in advocating for the rights of people with I/DD to live, participate, and contribute as valued community members.
OSAC connects local self-advocacy groups to learn with and from each other.
Job OverviewThe Administrative Coordinator is a member of the OSAC Core Team, along with the Executive Director and the Community Educator. This role supports the Executive Director and helps keep the organization running smoothly. This job is a good fit for someone who:

The Administrative Coordinator position has three areas of responsibility:
- Manage the ED’s calendar and schedule meetings
- Help organize and respond to emails
- Track deadlines and send reminders
- Draft, review, and edit written communications
- Help the ED stay organized and prepared
- Schedule and facilitate regular staff meetings
- Maintain the organization’s database
- Manage project management and task assignment software
- Organize digital files and shared documents
- Collaborate with staff and community partners to plan OSAC’s annual convention
- Coordinate invoice approvals, payments, deposits, and purchases with the ED and bookkeeper
- Work with payroll company to ensure staff are paid on time and payroll taxes are filed
- Develop, document and maintain internal policies and procedures in accessible language, including employee handbook.
- Build and improve organizational systems and workflows
- Arrange travel and accommodations
- Manage grants
- Review contracts and grants and create plain-language summaries of requirements
- Track grant deliverables and reporting deadlines
- Support implementation of projects and grants
- Work with the Board Chair and Vice Chair to create meeting agendas
- Schedule board meetings (2 in-person and 2 virtual each year)
- Arrange travel and accommodations for board members as needed
- Attend board meetings and provide administrative support
- Develop and coordinate disability related accommodations for each Board member

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented

- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
- Demonstrated ability to learn and use new technology and software quickly
- Strong follow-through on tasks and commitments
- Personal vehicle, valid drivers license, and ability to attend in-person meetings
- Must be located in Oregon or Washington
- Commitment to disability rights and centering lived experience
- Preferred, but not required:
- Previous experience working with people with I/DD
- Understanding of the administrative and compliance requirements for operating a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
- Experience managing and tracking organizational budgets and grants
- Knowledge of the disability rights and self-advocacy movements
- Full time position:
Annual salary $55,000-$57,500 depending on experience; plus healthcare and internet stipends - Primarily remote, with some in-person meetings.
- Occasional travel throughout Oregon required (typically to Salem, Newberg, or Portland). Mileage reimbursed at the federal rate.
- This position requires you to: operate a computer, converse over the phone and video, manage workload independently, and travel for meetings.
