Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Overview

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth settings and meet patient volume goals for telehealth and in‑patient visits.
  • Lead clinic staff—including X‑ray technologists, nurses, and front‑office specialists—in delivering excellent patient care.
  • Discuss and review patients’ medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications and ask situation‑specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Actively engage with clinical leadership, escalating concerns to management when necessary to ensure strong patient care and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate daily.
  • Implement clinical and telehealth protocols as outlined by the CMO and supervising physicians.
  • Analyze and interpret patients’ histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
  • Deliver excellent patient care through in‑patient and virtual diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations with attention to patient‑centric care, safety, cost, and reliable information.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and all health information management requirements.
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, autonomous environment within both in‑patient clinic and virtual settings.
  • Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications; and educate patients on continued treatment and care of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Attend mandatory monthly meetings with supervising physicians and complete E/M training.
  • Perform responsibilities within standard NP/PA protocols.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training and maintain compliance with company standards of operations.
  • Adhere to core values: teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.
  • Recommend ideas within the clinic and to telehealth leadership to improve overall patient experience and care.
  • Communicate regularly within the team in all necessary manners to support excellent patient care.
  • Welcome new employees on their first day, facilitate introductions, clinic tours, and overview of clinic processes.
  • Assist new employees with learning activities and completion of required training; provide job shadowing, demonstrations, and coaching opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Support additional responsibilities for ancillary providers, including periodic on‑call duty throughout the year.
Preferred Experience

Working as a telehealth clinician is strongly preferred.

Work Schedule
  • PRN employees are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month.
  • Full‑time employees are required to work 12‑hour shifts and every other weekend.
Education Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) and/or Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS).

Experience Requirements and Preferences
  • At least 1–2 years of experience as a provider in a relevant practice (e.g., urgent care, occupational medical facility, ER, trauma unit, family medical practice).
Licensing and Certification
