About This Role
The RN participates as a member of the health care team in delivering quality health care to patients, providing a variety of nursing services both in person and by phone. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are committed to patient advocacy and quality care.
Highlights- Pay: $53 - $79/hour
- Location: Clackamas, OR
- Department/Unit: Sunnybrook Medical Ofcs - Day Surgery-Pre/Post-Op - 1001
- Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
- Provide evidence-based, clinically competent nursing care in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Plan, implement, manage, coordinate, and evaluate a plan of care across the care continuum.
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools, processes, clinical pathways, and guidelines to manage patient care.
- Perform and modify therapeutic and preventive nursing measures and administer treatments and medications.
- Participate in outreach and in-reach activities to meet clinical targets.
- Collaborate with Team Leader and Manager in setting quality standards for nursing care.
- Mentor new staff and assist with orientation and staff development needs.
- Document the nursing care provided which demonstrates the application of the nursing process.
- Apply effective oral and written communication skills in interacting with patients and families.
- Facilitate coordination of care across all settings with particular attention to transitional needs.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care/clinic setting within the last five (5) years
- Minimum two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in Critical Care
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support
- Moderate Sedation Competency required within 6 months of hire
