RN Fellowship - Medical​/Surgical

About This Role

The RN Fellowship in Medical/Surgical at Kaiser Permanente is designed for new graduates to develop their clinical judgment skills while providing comprehensive nursing care. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

• Pay: $53 - $79/hour
• Location: Clackamas, OR
• Facility: Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center
• Schedule: Part-time, Variable shifts

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient responses to treatment.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and agencies.
• Classify acuity levels of assigned patients and establish priorities for patient care.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate.
• Calculate and administer medications accurately.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience:

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
