About This Role

The Emergency Department RN provides critical nursing care to patients in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with actual or potential health problems.

• Pay: $53 - $79/hour
• Location: Clackamas, OR
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full Time

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' response to treatment.
• Reassess patients throughout hospitalization and perform complete discharge assessments.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) according to policy and procedure.
• Classify acuity level of assigned patients and establish priorities for patient care.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate and perform all necessary procedures correctly.
• Accurately calculate and administer medications and initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations.

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

• Experienced level required

• Current RN License in Oregon
