About This Role

The Emergency Department RN provides critical nursing care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in emergency settings.

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) according to policy and procedure.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate.
• Accurately calculate and administer medications.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.
• Perform all necessary procedures correctly and initiate measures in emergency situations.

• Education:
  
  Associate's Degree (ADN) required
• Experience:
  
  Experienced level required

  Current RN License in Oregon
