This role involves providing intra-operative assistance to the surgical team across various specialties, collaborating with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- performing pre-operative assessments, aiding during surgery with instrumentation, tissue handling, hemostasis, suturing, and maintaining sterile technique.
- Post-operatively, assists with patient transfer, dressing application, and room turnover.
- Maintains communication for continuity of care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Requires at least 2 years of intra-operative scrubbing and circulating experience, and 1 year as an RNFA or completion of a recognized RNFA course.
- Must hold a valid RN license (Oregon), ACLS, BLS, and a Nurse Operating Room Certificate.
- 2-5 years RNFA practice, CRNFA certification, and ability to assist in all surgical cases.
- The role emphasizes clinical expertise, sterile technique, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
