About This Role

The RN participates as a member of the health care team in delivering quality health care to patients, utilizing nursing processes and leadership skills to address the needs of Health Plan members and other patients.

• Provide a variety of nursing services in person and/or by phone.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to service and socially relevant practice.
• Adhere to Quality of Service Standards and Behavioral Guidelines.
• Utilize a critical thinking approach to problem solve and make decisions.
• Provide culturally sensitive nursing care to a diverse population.
• Participate in population-based care activities and health education.
• Document nursing care provided in compliance with standards.
• Facilitate coordination of care across all settings.
• Act as an advocate for individuals and groups with unmet health needs.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education activities.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.

• Minimum two (2) years of RN experience within the last five (5) years or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad/transition to practice program.
• Two years psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

• Current RN License in Oregon within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN License in Washington within 6 months of hire or Compact License.
• Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
